Jason Rister // Frequent Collaborator

The things Jason does go way over most people’s heads.

REC2020 colour space? LongGOP? Chroma Subsampling? While it’s not important for our clients to be familiar with these things, it’s very useful that Jason is intimately familiar with the technical aspects behind bringing your project to life! Jason is a regular colorist and 1st assistant camera on Play projects. As a result, he’s an absolutely key collaborator, often assisting Mike on set (or operating camera), and colour grading much of Play’s work.

At home, Jason is a foodie, gamer, and all-around friend of many. Over his career he’s become a solidified part of Saskatchewan’s film scene, working on many projects from feature films to music videos & television series.
